Yuma County is referred to as the “winter vegetable capital of the world”. With 350 days of sunshine and high quality water from the Colorado River, our winter produce season begins with plantings in August and harvests through May. Mellon Farms can offer contract services in growing a variety of produce and melons during this winter season. We also offer cotton, wheat and a selection of forage crops during our warmer months. Specialty seed crops are grown year round.
Mellon Farms also offers custom sprinkling and planting services. Our fleet of GPS driven equipment and experienced operators can assist in any planting endeavors. Led by two generations of experience, our sprinkler crew is capable of handling any sized job.
