About 14 state legislators were among more than 30 people who took a biannual tour Friday of Yuma’s agricultural scene targeting state leaders, who also got lunch with the governor as a last-minute addition to the schedule.
The jaunt hosted by the Yuma Area Agricultural Council has become a December tradition, in odd years offered to local leaders and in even years to members of the state House and Senate, particularly those just elected and/or not familiar with the size and scope of the area’s largest industry.
